Australian Consumer Choices

Known for their reliability, superior engineering and comfort – choosing between luxury SUVs can be an exciting but daunting task. There are plenty of factors to consider, including who will service your vehicle. Here at Volks Affair- our Audi and BMW service teams – are always keeping an eye on vehicle trends and we’re delighted to see our favourite German SUVs are becoming increasingly popular in Melbourne.

According to ACA Research the upward trend in SUV sales is continuing on from 2017. SUVs seem to be the preferred vehicle of choice amongst Australians and luxury German vehicles are a fashionable and attractive option. The BMW X3 and the Audi Q5 are fast becoming top luxury family SUVs, the BMW X3 is especially popular with its signature double kidney grille front and sleek body.

2018 – BMW X3 and Audi Q5: At a Glance

Both the BMW X3 and the Audi Q5 have turbocharged four-cylinder engines with the option to upgrade to a more performance-oriented model.

Both cars have sleek, well-fitted interiors and make perfect family vehicles. They fit 5 people comfortably and have enough boot space for all the family vacation baggage.

Both cars offer high resolution digital screens, but an interesting difference is that BMW X3 only supports Apple CarPlay whereas Audi Q5 supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. That may be a deciding factor for many.
